Some people enjoy a place more when they get involved. If that sounds like you, come spend time with us in New Orleans. We’ve usually got something underway, and you’re welcome to be part of it. Tell us what you enjoy doing, and let’s see what catches your interest.
Making things, helping with an event, practical projects, and sharing skills are all possibilities. We’ll live our lives, explore New Orleans, and get acquainted along the way.

We generally prefer stays of at least a month. We’ll get acquainted by phone or video before you arrive and talk about the projects, accommodation, and shared meals. That’s a fun part of this.
You’ll also meet Harry, our super-friendly Sphynx cat. Let’s discuss cat allergies before a visit.

Prep or paint a porch or bedroom, work on pavers, or help with trim at SHINE Studio. Lighting, presentation, and small improvements matter, too. We’ll agree on safe tasks, tools, and guidance.

Photograph, film, edit, or help share moments with guests, friends, Danielle, Greg, Elektra, or Elektric Vanity. What catches your eye? Your perspective might help us see and tell a story differently.

Working together
When we take on something together, there’s often room to work independently, with real guidance and answers when you need them. We’ll go through safe tasks and tool use before you begin.
Accommodation & food
Accommodation is inside our home, and sometimes Artsy Cozy Home by arrangement. This path does not use the in-law suite. Our home has two queen bedrooms and a guest bathroom, shared when there are multiple guests. We typically host a single person or couple, with up to three people by arrangement. We’ll talk about who’s coming and which space works.
“You fry it, we buy it.” We talk about what you’d enjoy making, buy the agreed ingredients, and enjoy culinary experiences together. We’ll discuss shared meals and your other food arrangements before your stay.
Harry & the household
Harry Nudini, our super-friendly Sphynx cat, is part of everyday life. Although hairless, he can still trigger cat allergies. We don’t host guest pets or other animals in our home.
